Adaptive cancellation
Eight microphones sample the room 48,000 times a second and answer it with an inverse wave before it reaches the pad. On the 07:42 into Shinjuku, that is the difference between the train and the tape hiss underneath it.
Cancellation is re-profiled every 0.3 s - cabin, street, open office - with no mode button to hunt for. Take one cup off and playback holds at −20 dB.

Pixels that switch fully off, a matte plate that swallows lamplight, and a filmmaker profile locked to 24 fps. In a dark room the bezel goes first; then the wall; then it is just the picture, 65 inches across, floating.
