Climate Balance
A Budyko-Sellers-North diffusive energy-balance model run to equilibrium - the pole-to-pole surface temperature that falls out of sunlight in, heat radiated out, and heat carried poleward.
How to read it: each row is a latitude band. The bar length tracks its equilibrium temperature (cool blue toward the poles, warm red at the equator). Nothing here is a drawn shape - it is the settled state of the physics.
Equilibrium surface temperature by latitude band
Sanity check
Radiative-diffusive equilibrium, not a hardcoded shape.
South pole (lat -90.0°) = -19.130 °C Equator (lat 0.0°) = 21.881 °C North pole (lat 90.0°) = -19.130 °C Equator > south pole : True (delta = 41.011 °C) Equator > north pole : True (delta = 41.011 °C) Pole-to-pole symmetry |T_south - T_north| = 0.000000 K
